Daikin FXDQ63NDVM slim ducted VRV indoor unit
The FXDQ63NDVM belongs to the FXDQ-NDVM range for the Middle East and Africa. Its concealed, ducted format allows air to be delivered through room grilles while the indoor body sits above the ceiling. With 7.1 kW net cooling and 8 kW net heating capacity, this model can be assessed against the room load, duct resistance and available service space as part of a complete VRV system.
Cooling and heating specifications
| Indoor model | FXDQ63NDVM |
|---|---|
| Net cooling capacity | 7.1 kW / 24,200 Btu/h |
| Net heating capacity | 8 kW / 27,300 Btu/h |
| Capacity class | 2.5 HP |
| Indoor power input, cooling / heating | 0.181 / 0.168 kW |
Cooling ratings use 27°C dry bulb / 19°C wet bulb indoors and 35°C dry bulb outdoors. Heating ratings use 20°C dry bulb indoors and 7°C dry bulb / 6°C wet bulb outdoors. Both use 7.5 m equivalent piping length and no height difference. Capacities include indoor fan motor heat; indoor power input is not the consumption of the complete VRV system.
Airflow, duct pressure and sound
| Airflow HH / H / L | 16.5 / 14.5 / 13.0 m³/min |
|---|---|
| Sound pressure HH / H / L | 36 / 34 / 32 dB(A) |
| External static pressure, standard / high | 15 / 44 Pa |
| Fan | Direct-drive sirocco fan |
| Air filter | Removable, washable, mildew-proof filter |
The factory static-pressure setting is 15 Pa. The remote controller allows the external static-pressure setting to be changed; use the databook fan-performance curves to check the selected duct layout. HH, H and L identify the three fan settings. Sound values are anechoic-chamber conversions. Actual room levels depend on installation and reflections; the databook notes an increase of approximately 5 dB(A) when changing to bottom suction.
Dimensions and installation connections
| Indoor body H × W × D | 200 × 1,100 × 620 mm |
|---|---|
| Unit mass | 31 kg |
| Electrical supply | 1 phase, 220–240 V, 50/60 Hz |
| Liquid / gas pipe connections | 9.5 / 15.9 mm, flare connections |
| Drain connection | VP20: 26 mm external / 20 mm internal diameter |
| Casing / insulation | Galvanised steel plate / foamed polyethylene |
| Refrigerant control | Electronic expansion valve |
The 200 mm dimension is the unit-body height, not the complete installation clearance. Allow access for filter maintenance, drainage, refrigerant piping and electrical work as shown in the dimensional drawings and installation manual. Temperature control uses a microprocessor thermostat for cooling and heating; confirm the controller and outdoor-unit combination for the proposed system.
