Daikin FXDQ15A3 slim concealed VRV indoor unit
The FXDQ15A3 is designed for concealed installation above a ceiling, with supply and return grilles providing the visible room finish. Its 200 mm-high body suits projects where ceiling space is limited. Nominal cooling is 1.7 kW and heating is 1.9 kW; select this capacity class against the room load and the connected VRV system.
Daikin identifies the 15 class for small or well-insulated spaces such as hotel bedrooms and small offices. Final selection still depends on the calculated cooling and heating loads.

Cooling ratings use 27°C dry bulb / 19°C wet bulb indoors and 35°C dry bulb outdoors. Heating ratings use 20°C dry bulb indoors and 7°C dry bulb / 6°C wet bulb outdoors. Both use 5 m equivalent refrigerant piping and zero level difference. Net capacity includes the effect of indoor fan motor heat. Indoor power input is separate from the consumption of the outdoor unit and complete system.

The external static pressure setting can be changed through the remote control according to the installation instructions. Check duct, grille and filter resistance against the fan curves; the 30 Pa high setting is specific to this capacity class. Published sound values are anechoic chamber conversion values. Room reflections, background noise and bottom-suction configuration affect installed sound levels.

Allow access for filter removal, servicing and the drain connection as well as the unit body. Confirm the permitted drain elevation and pipe arrangement from the dimensional drawings and installation instructions.
